Deepa Nair Rasiya is a London-based singer and a composer.


Gifted with an inimitable vocal style that listeners have described as “soul stirring” that brings “tears of joy and devotion”, Deepa gave her first public performance at the young age of 7 and has never turned back since.


Having worked as a concert performer and session musician in the UK since 1991, she is aiming at making a mark in the Indian music scene where the volume of music flows in abundance.


Apart from singing for Pt. Ravi Shanker and George Harrison on their joint album ‘Chants Of India’, she has also released a meditational album titled, ‘Into The Light’, with producer Craig Pruess.




‘Destination’ by Deepa Nair Rasiya




Destination is an album comprised of 10 Sufi poems by some of Sufism’s beloved poets. The poems are composed in an Indian Classical style and form but embellished with various forms of contemporary arrangements ranging from jazz, pop, blues to electronic and rock.


‘Destination’ is slated for release across the world on World Music Day, June 21, 2015
